Cast Stone Specification from Plean Precast
UK LEADERS IN PRECAST STONE AND CONCRETE

Machine and/or hand made load bearing masonry of dense concrete, finish to match the appearance of natural stone.

Manufactured in accordance with BS 1217:1997, dry and/or wet cast, of monolithic construction either of one through mix or of backing concrete and cast stone facing. Dry cast stone mixes incorporate an integral waterproofing agent. Wet cast stone elements where required to be used structurally are manufactured in accordance with BS 8110:1997 Structural Uses of Concrete.

Weathering Class
The weathering class of product will be as determined by either Initial surface absorption test (ISTA) or Capillary absorption test (CAT).

Thermal Resistance
100mm dense 0.066m2K/W

Dimensions
Standard Blocks - 444 x 219 x 100, 440 x 215 x 100, 390 x 190 x 100. Non standards to a maximum size of 1000 x 500 and 250 wide.

Colours
Bath, Portland, York etc.; the colour and texture of most natural stone can be matched. A wide range of standard colours is available. Specific stone matching is offered as are particular colours when Muracast is used together with other facing material. Wherever possible colours are matched without the use of pigments. It should be borne in mind that cast stone is the product of naturally occurring materials and that, despite the most stringent quality procedures, minor colour variations in the finished product may occur.

Finishes
Smooth, etched, ribbed, dragged, textured etc.

Dressings
Handmade dressings - Quoins, Sills, Heads, Mullions, Copes, Steps etc. are available as standard items or may be manufactured to customers individual requirements.

Distribution
Blocks ate delivered protected, shrink wrapped or banded and palletised for off-loading by forklift.
